Thrilling encounters with the giant blue whale in Indian Ocean

US filmmaker Patrick Dykstra has fulfilled a childhood dream of swimming with blue whales – and he captured every minute of the fascinating experience on camera by using a remote-control drone.

The Denver-born filmmaker’s thrilling encounters occurred in the Indian Ocean, off the coast of Sri Lanka, on a number of trips over the last six years. (Photo/CFP)
