People release paper lanterns in Beirut, Lebanon, Aug. 3, 2021. Various activities were held to mark the first anniversary of the Beirut port explosion. On Aug. 4, 2020, the Beirut port was hit by two big explosions, destroying a big part of Beirut, killing over 200 people, and injuring more than 6,000 others. (Xinhua/Bilal Jawich)
