Surging infections, fatalities put Nepal in hard struggle to cope with COVID-19

Nepal is witnessing new record highs of COVID-19 infections and deaths with each passing day.

On Thursday, the country reported a new record of 9,070 coronavirus infections, with 54 patients losing their lives in the last 24 hours.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Friday that a batch of anti-epidemic supplies has been largely collected and will be sent to Nepal as soon as possible.
