Yaozhihe scenic area in Baokang County, Xiangyang is a renowned phosphate producing area. With the development of the mineral economy over the years, Yaozhihe Village has become a resort for ecological tourism, holiday and health preservation, Emperor Yao culture studies and new socialist countryside experiencing, and changed from an "ore seller" into a "scenery seller".

Yaozhihe scenic area was named a national 4A scenic area in 2014 and is now applying for 5A status.
