On July 1, the final 18-kilometer long part of highway from Macheng, Hubei to Ankang, Shaanxi went into operation, demonstrating the completion of construction of Macheng – Ankang Highway. Macheng – Ankang Highway is a vital part of Shanghai – Chengdu Highway that runs through Eastern, Central, and Western China. Along Macheng – Ankang Highway are rich tourism resources.
