The opening ceremony of the development area of Xi'an Software Park was held on Aug. 28, 2014 in Xi'an High-tech Industrial Zone.

Xi'an Software Park with an area of 4 square kilometers is the key construction project in Shaanxi province. It was approved by the Ministry of Commerce as "National e-Commerce Demonstration Base." The construction started in November 2011. Some important projects including National e-Commerce Demonstration Base, Huanpu Industrial Park, the ChinaSoft International Base, Ascendas Innovation Towers and IBM R & D center have been completed.
